As you can see in the loaded truck photo, we had to fabricate the steel on schedule for 7 trailer loads of steel to be sent to a port in Montreal where it was loaded onto the barge.

IMI has gotten another opportunity to collaborate with the Canadian Province of Nunavut on an expansion to the Gjoa Haven High School. The trek from the shop in Blumenort to Gjoa Haven is quite a vast one! After a 3 week trip on a barge our fabricated steel passed through the Northern Channel just before freezing over! The temperatures are quite high, so much that the dirt ground needs to be jack hammered at times to install our steel columns.
