Sanikiluaq LHO Project

We are always happy to get work in Nunavut, so the award for the Sanikiluaq LHO project near the coast of Quebec in the Hudson Bay was exciting news! IMI will be providing the supply & installation of the structural steel over the Geodetic steel foundation. As well as many ramps and railings. Steel is to be shipped to the port of Montreal where it will be packaged and shipped to the Island and then we fly in and erect the steel. This will be a great project to see pictures of, stay tuned!

Des Meurons Mixed-Use Building

IMI received award for the Structural Steel, Stairs & Miscellaneous Metals including the exterior Corten steel cladding for the 316 Des Meurons Mixed-Use Project downtown Winnipeg. We are excited to put our skillset of diversity in product to work. Heavy structural steel on main & second floor, then steel stairs & railings and finally a fancy specialty cladding, we are up for the challenge.

General Contractor is Bockstael Construction.

Royal Winnipeg Ballet

IMI has been awarded the Royal Winnipeg Ballet project at the heart of the development near True North Square, in Winnipeg Manitoba. We will be supplying & installing the structural steel, decking and all the stairs and miscellaneous metals for the project. There are some complexities in the project due to the tight space for a 5-story steel project, the connection to RWB’s existing structure, and many mechanical/electrical holes in the steel beams due to the construction design. IMI will supply the 3D model in order to coordinate items like these holes in order to achieve a smooth install for all trades. Construction is set to start February 2021.

Steele Business Park

Right after were finishing up the 67,000sqft NRC project down the street, we will be moving over to the 82,000sqft office building called Steele Business Park. IMI is excited to have been awarded the structural steel, decking and misc metals.

Dauphin Office

IMI is pleased to have been awarded the new office space for the Manitoba Metis Federation in Dauphin Manitoba. The 3 story all steel & joist construction is an exciting project to be a part of! Imperial will be supply & installing the structural steel, decking and 2 steel stairwells. Project is set to start in February 2020.

General Contractor is the Manitoba Metis Federation.

National Research Centre

IMI is rather excited to be a part of the new research centre in Winnipeg. A sprauling 67,000sqft steel constructed building. We will be doing the structural steel, decking and all the misc metals which includes a long list of walkways, fancy rails, canopies, many stairs and ladders and steel cladded feature stairs.

Gods Lake Nursing Centre

God’s Lake Manitoba is getting a new nursing station this year and we are very excited to be apart of that venture. NDL Construction is the General contractor.

Given that it is an ice road job we have begun procuring the project so as to meet the tight deadline for shipment early this year. Luckily we have a lot of experience with ice road jobs so the team has mobilized quickly and we are on track. Stay tuned for project photos in the projects section.

Bayview Office Building

Imperial loves the chance to contribute to unique structures in Manitoba, and the Bayview Office Building is quite an architectural feature. A powder coated grand staircase, pitched steel roof, a grand entry! We are glad to be a part of the construction. The 13,000sqft structure is set to be starting in december so we will work through the winter to get the building up. Check back for photos.
