In addition to the many schools we have going this year, we are uniquely pleased to be a part of the Ecole school given its proximity to our home town of Steinbach. And many IMI employees and children will be directly impacted by this new addition to the growing community of La Broquerie.

IMI will typically tackle glulam structure install when its a small feature on a structural steel building. But when we were presented the opportunity to partner with Bockstael Construction for the Peace Gardens project, which is entirely glulam, we came together and made it happen. Our scope was the install only of the wood structure and steel columns.
The Peace Gardens is a 90 year old historical site between the Canada & US border.

As one of our longest standing customers we are incredibly honoured to be a part of Penn-Co’s new office space in our hometown of Steinbach. Not only have they put together a beautiful building but have created an entirely new development home to commercial, retail & residential to house the new office building. In 2022 we will have another record breaking year for school projects. Ebb & Flow being one of the exciting ones with over 40,000sqft of well designed space by Architecture49. Imperial was awarded the scope of Structural Steel, Decking & Miscellaneous Metals with NDL Construction. Installation will begin mid summer 2022.

Imperial is pleased to announce we are the successful steel trade for the Kingfisher School. Almost 27,000sqft, this will be an amazing state of the art school to compliment the community. IMI was awarded the Structural steel, Miscellaneous metals, steel decking and glulam installation.

Imperial is ecstatic to receive the honour of helping build the High School in Waverley West. This growing area is in need of more space and this school will be a major landmark. Over 116,000sqft of space, 3 stories tall, 4,000sqft library, outdoor learning areas and so much more. IMI was awarded the Structural steel, Decking and Misc metals.

After a the tragic fire last year, the Stone Creek Plaza building is ready to rebuild. Imperial is very pleased to be a part of rebuilding this structure in our home town!! Right across the street from our other project with HyLife.

I’m sure many of you saw the large black question mark on Pembina last year (2020). It was revealed to be the new Halo Towers project, an exciting and unique build with MBuilds Construction. Imperial was awarded the Miscellaneous metals package for all the tower stairs, the misc metal items (trench grating, bollards, hangers, etc) and the penthouse suite feature stairs. We have also had the opportunity to help out on some of the structural steel fabrication. This is a great team to be working with, and will be a eye catcher as it rises. Stay tuned!
This is an exciting project!! The Desautels Concert Hall will be a 25,000sqft addition to the existing Tache Hall. The new building will give additional stage space for performance and rehearsals. Imperial was awarded the contract for Structural Steel, Decking, Walkways, Stainless Rails, Stairs & Railings and all Miscellaneous metals. Stay tuned for construction progress.

IMI has been awarded the Structural steel for the new HyLife Office building in our home town of Steinbach, Manitoba!! This is very exciting for us as we are very proud of the growth in our city. The new building will be the flagship structure at the heart of the Mill Brook Market Development beside Superstore. The 4-storie building with over 50,000sqft of space to hold the 220+ employees.
