Co-Founder Danny Friesen gets first Welding Ticket
1967
Danny’s Welding is built on his yard
1983
Danny & Harry join to form ‘Imperial Metal Industries’
1984
Danny’s son Kelly Friesen joins the company
1985
Imperial develops the outdoor woodstove water heater “Wood Boiler”
1985
Danny & Harry purchase land & building at 111 Commerce Drive in Steinbach MB
1989
Kelly leaves IMI to pursue other ventures, Abesco (3 years), then starts his own Cabinet company.
And finally joining Custom Wood Working in Kenora building log structures.
1998
Danny & Harry sell their shares to Kelly
1999
Imperial gets its first Desktop computer
2013
IMI moves to Blumenort MB 1 Mile West of the Original Danny’s Welding
Along with the move, purchased 3 state of the art pieces of machinery.
